We loved collaborating with Milli on her country-boho campervan dream. ‘Atlas’ was a project, 4 years in the making for Milli. Being in the navy, she was used to living in small quarters and knew exactly how she wanted her tiny living to work. Milli came to us with a fairly complex design concept:  Challenge accepted!

Little things like an oak drying rail, and a pull-out bin and dirty laundry hamper are always the parts overlooked when designing a van, and Milli had these all covered. ‘Atlas’ is equipped with a pull-out Tassie oak table and two side seats; also a microwave, Waeco 80L fridge and a Dometic Harrier aircon.   Storage is ample throughout the van, with bike storage underneath the bed (bike slide accessed from the rear), together with a recessed dog kennel and two massive drawers.

The bathroom includes a shower and removable sawdust toilet which Milli wanted as a priority so there was still that little bit of privacy when travelling with family and friends.

‘Atlas’ is off the grid, equipped with an Enerdrive 300ah lithium battery system, charging with 500W of solar.  This is perfect for Milli’s travel style: travelling freely with spontaneous stops and no solid agenda!  With her enthusiastic, bubbly and energetic personality, she’s the perfect person to take the plunge into full time van life!

Michael and Emma made this experience really fun and exciting.  I came to them as I wanted a one-stop shop for my build.

I gave them my layout, colour scheme and links to items I wanted.  They took on my random ideas and made them even better than I imagined.  I wanted a lot of things in the tiny, to be honest,  I knew I was asking for too much,  but they are all in there and they all fit perfectly!

Michael and Emma emailed weekly with updates, pictures and any questions, so we were always on the same page.  If things didn’t work and plans had to change,  I was informed straight away,  and they came up with the alternative solutions.  I felt that I was part of every step of the build.

With Michael’s craftsmanship and Emma’s unique eye for design,  I was able to trust them to make the decisions as a team,  and transform Atlas into the best little home for us.

I am beyond happy with the final result and would highly recommend Roaming Wild Campers to anyone looking for a custom build.
